This training session will discuss how to best advocate for children’s education through topics that include: Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504s and other records; how to handle suspensions; and every day tips like the best time to meet with a counselor or who to talk to about obtaining information on a child. Additionally, one of our own Oklahoma County CASA volunteers, Carol Brogan, will talk on her experience both as a court appointed special advocate and her career in the school system as a teacher and administrator.
