Presented by the Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae of Oklahoma City, Game On puts the FUN in FUNDRAISER!
The First Annual Game On with CASA fundraiser was held Thursday, March 28th, 2019 at the Oklahoma History Center. This interactive fundraising celebration featured lighthearted evening highlighting the power of change a volunteer can make through compassionate advocacy. Attendees spent the first hour of the event playing fun minute-to-win-it style games, with all proceeds supporting the work of the CASA program. CASA provides trained volunteers to be champions for the individualized best interests of children in foster care.
Programming included an introduction by Executive Director Jennie Hill, a video presentation of a former foster child served by CASA and his volunteer Darla, as well as a testimonial by Board Vice President Jessica Ramirez. Ramirez was once a foster child herself who also had a CASA volunteer in her life.
100% of the proceeds from the event will go to support the amazing volunteers who advocate for Oklahoma County’s hundreds of foster youth.
We are so thankful to our amazing Event Committee who made this night possible: Financial Development Committee Chair Lori Blumenthal, Event Co-Chairs Jennifer Chrysant & Susan Silver, and members Laura Barlow, Becky Roten, Amy Cottrell, Mindy Rule, Heidi Herburger, Johnna Schick, Sumeeta Nanda MD, Kasi Shelton, Elizabeth Nordin, Ivy Snider, Stephanie O’Gara, Sarah Taylor, and Krisan Patterson. We are also incredibly thankful for all the board, staff, and volunteers who helped make Game On such a success. And of course, a huge thank you to our over 300 guests in attendance, whose gameplay and gifts will help change children’s lives for the better right here in our community.
In-kind sponsors included Ben E Keith, Trader Joe’s, Homeland, Bunzel, US Foods, Aunt Pitypatt’s, and Eventures.
