All active volunteers are required to obtain 12 hours of training annually. The following opportunities are a list of trainings available through partner agencies or public broadcasting. Remember that if you count any of these for training credit you must complete the updated Professional Development Credit Report.
The Oklahoma CASA Association is facilitating free online trainings you can complete on your own time either on your computer or phone. Currently, CASA CAMPUS is offering a set of trainings titled Foundations which, when completed entirely, equals 12 hours of training. Volunteers can complete one, some, or all of these trainings which are one hour each.
Once you have completed a training, you will receive a certificate that you must forward to Nichole for training credit.

Join us the last Friday of each month as we discuss a book from our book club. You do not have to attend the book club meetings to count reading a book for credit. Read the books anytime and complete a Professional Development Credit Report (below) to count your book for credit. We count clock hours for training credit; every 100 pages counts for 2½ hours of training credit. Attending the book club adds an hour to your training and qualifies you to not have to complete the report.

This story captures Dave’s strength and resilience. 184 pages; 3.5 hours of training credit.
